This event has ended.

We invite you to help celebrate the intimate viewing of Gruen’s work through a unique ‘Teenage Bedroom’ setting. The environment is fixed as such to transport the audience to a state of nostalgia, engulfing the viewer through the powerful, yet all too familiar presentation of some of the most renowned photographs that went on to represent a generation. His classic, as well as new, images will conjure up emotions and memories of the past; something you believed only music had the power of doing. Enjoy the strong connection between Gruen’s photography and musical subjects and be transported back to where Rock ‘n’ Roll began.

Born in 1945 in New York City, photographer Bob Gruen has documented the international rock scene for some 40 years, with several of his photographs becoming iconic visual symbols of the genre. Gruen has photographed countless rock stars, including Tina Turner, the Who, Yoko Ono, The Clash, KISS, Sex Pistols and Green Day . Gruen was also John Lennon’s personal photographer during Lennon’s stay in New York. Among his many books of photographs are 1990’s The Sex Pistols- Chaos, 1997’s The Rolling Stones- Crossfire Hurricane, 2004’s The Clash, and 2005’s John Lennon-The New York Years.

The Opening Night of the exhibition will be on Thursday, April 3rd from 7 – 9pm with Bob Gruen and special guests in attendance.
