Kristen Jensen is an artist living and working in New York. Jensen’s practice is multidisciplinary, often taking mundane and domestic objects and reinterpreting them in mediums as diverse as porcelain, paper, and sterling silver. The artist’s desire for control and perfection is challenged by both the unpredictability of the mediums and the traces of the artist’s hand. This tension is reflected in the flaws, cracks, and subtle finishes that transform everyday objects into things both pathetic and poetic.

Nicholas Moenich (b. 1985, Cleveland, OH) lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Nicholas received a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2008 and his MFA from Hunter College in 2011. He received the Tony Smith Award in 2011. Recently, he was awarded and attended the Vermont Studio Center Residency and participated as a panelist and exhibiting artist in Corporeal Textures Conference and Exhibition at the University of Cincinnati. He has been awarded a forthcoming Visiting Artist Residency at Anderson Ranch in Aspen, Colorado for the summer of 2014.
