With an aim to present contemporary Japanese art to art fans worldwide, NEW CITY ART FAIR opened its doors for the rst time in New York in March 2012. This upcoming March, NEW CITY ART FAIR will be back to New York for its sixth edition during ARMORY ARTS WEEK.
The art work titled “Nationalhymnen 1982” by Tomoyuki Ueno, an emerging Japanese artist who is currently living and woking in Germany, is used for the main image of this New York 2014 edition. The situation, which cannot be read as a score anymore by layering the national anthems of the countries in the world, has projected the state never put phase with values of world in disarray. It can be said the chaos of values today. NEW CITY ART FAIR, as the art fair to deliver contemporary Japanese art to the world, will be held with a variety of programs and the outstanding artworks this year.
