John Molloy Gallery presents INSOMNIA, new work by Larissa Nowicki. A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design and London’s Royal Academy of Art, Ms. Nowicki was recently awarded her second residency at the prestigious Albers Foundation in Connecticut and was winner of the Pulse Miami prize in 2011. This is her first solo show in New York, following two solo shows in London.
Weaving strands of paper taken from pages of books, her sublime constructions reflect a deep understanding of process and composition. The viewer is drawn into a minimalist worldview of beauty and serenity unlike any other.
