Stainman creates process-based sculptures starting from a love of fabrics. In addition to her desire to disrupt hierarchical categories within art, the color, texture and tactility of these domestic materials have long been an interest. Formally based in her vision, she intuitively investigates each fabric and its interplay with other materials, such as plexiglass and steel.
