Nearly 10 recent landscapes from the veteran New York painter and one-time abstractionist Tom Goldenberg is on view at the George Billis Gallery in Chelsea. Combining modern technology with traditional painting techniques, Tom Goldenberg creates vivid depictions of the natural world and paints exclusively with handmade pigments that he grinds himself. Bringing a sure sense of space and structure to his depictions of gnarled vegetation and intricately woven vistas, Goldenberg’s captures turbulent rhythms and the flux of the ever-changing landscapes of our worlds and minds.
