I paint You, You paint Me is a performance resulting in a reflective series of over 40 portraits of artist Piero Passacantando from the public participants. Passacantando draws the participants as they draw him offering an intimate moment where the relationship between artist and subject is broken and redefined. The portraits that Passacantando makes of the participant are documented and given to them as an offering and a thank you.
Piero Passacantando if a native of Rome, Italy. He received his MFA from the California College of the Arts and has exhibited all over the world including Italy, Nepal, the United States and Cuba. Passacantando currently lives and works New York City.
