Shuho Kondo, Japanese Calligrapher, learned about the fascination of calligraphy from her father, Roseki, a traditional calligrapher. She has been pursuing his style of calligraphy, but at the same time, she is interested in seeing the possibility of how calligraphy can be viewed as a form of art. “Calligraphy is expressed by dots and lines, and it opens up new opportunities for any type of artistic expressions”, Shuho says.
