CATM New York presents New Works by Argentinian artist Mariano Cinat.

Mariano Cinat’s latest works reveal a clandestine place of imagination where quiet whispers hauntingly echo ancient and near forgotten desires of the soul.

Paul Robeson famously said, “Artists are the gatekeepers of truth. We are civilization’s anchor. We are the compass for humanity’s conscience.”

Mariano Cinat is truly one of those gatekeepers. He extends his family’s long arm of pioneering heritage and continues its extraordinary tradition of socially conscious art. His great aunt and uncle, Raquel Forner and Alfredo Bigatti paved the way for many. Forner broke down barriers for women artists and Bigatti instilled great nationalist fervor. Cinat follows suit by helping us reconnect with humanity’s binding grace.

Cinat’s work is of grand scale, reminiscent of monumental displays of public grandeur. Within Cinat’s world is a quest for reclamation. Power, respect and command lead down paths of infinite recluse.

With untethered mysticism his work transports us to a timeless quarry of semi-lucent architecture and endless landscapes of indeterminable imagination.
