This event has ended.

Trestle Gallery presents the work of Véronique Gambier. In her second exhibition with the gallery, Gambier will present her latest paintings, works from her new Figments series, and her first-ever site specific installation, Exposed Square 1. Gambier will collaborate with the gallery space by literally opening its walls in order to unveil an expansive dichotomy between looking out and peering within. Her continued investigations into color, brushwork and three-dimensionality reveal how tensions can and do exist within geometric forms. This is her latest attempt to harness contradistinctions in paint and process.

Born in the South of France, Véronique Gambier began painting large canvases under the guidance of French Master Pierre Pal- lut at the age of 12. She attended L’école des Beaux Arts de Toulon (College of Fine Art of Toulon) and L’école des Beaux Art de Luminy (Luminy College of Fine Art) in Marseille. Gambier has completed a number of artist residencies, most recently The Starry Night Artist Residency in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Her work has been shown in numerous national and international galleries, including a two-person show at Gallery Ho in New York, New York.
