Internationally renowned artist Lia Ali will display new paintings at the Dacia Gallery’s Annual Holiday Group Exhibition, Nunc Veritatem. An award-winning mulitmedia artist who has exhibited her work at galleries and shows in Brooklyn, Chelsea, Miami, Philadelphia and Soho, Lia’s current paintings explore the spiritual through the beauty of natural and human form. On display will be a self-portrait entitled Winter, that expresses inner strength and hope in a winter landscape and My Immortal, a female nude surrounded by a surreal space.

Nunc Veritatem: This exhibition embodies an eclectic mix of contemporary artists that focus on representational art. The collection of work contains a mosaic of figures and portraits through a life long study of anatomy, depth, color and light through the unique vision of each artist. Fusing together an achievement of what is currently being created in representational art at the peak of a new movement by young inspiring artists.

Lia Ali graduated from the National Academy of Art in Sofia, Bulgaria. She has exhibited her work at galleries and shows in Sofia including a solo exhibition at the Union of Bulgarian Architects. Lia moved to New York City to study at the New York Academy of Art. She has received awards from the Brooklyn Watercolor Society and the Art of Fashion Group (Artist of the Year Award, 2014). She has had her work exhibited in dozens of shows and venues in the United States including exhbits at The Brooklyn Public Library, Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition, Flowers Gallery at Scope Art Fair in Miami, Ward Nasse Gallery, and Empire Hotel. Lia is currently painting landscapes and portraits primarily using oil paints and watercolors. Lia lives in Brooklyn.
