Gavin Brown’s enterprise presents the work of Gavin Brown - for the first time in New York in two decades.
Raised in suburban London and working in New York since 1988, Gavin Brown has owned and operated his gallery since 1994.
Trained as a fine artist, Brown studied at both Newcastle Polytechnic and London’s Chelsea School of Art in the UK as well as the Whitney Independent Study Program upon his arrival in New York. In January 2014, he had a solo exhibition at The Green Gallery, Milwaukee. Brown’s last exhibition in New York, “Collections” was on view at the David Zwirner Gallery in 1994.
