The exhibition ‘Local Color’ at Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (JCAL) offers an opportunity to get to know the work of 12 local artists with ties to the borough of Queens, by taking a closer look at detail, meaning, metaphor and materials. The William P. Miller Jr. gallery houses the pieces which features paintings, drawings, photographs, prints, sculptures and installations.

With the exhibition ‘Local Color,’ JCAL re-launches the Artist Co-Op Series, which is a visual arts program designed specifically for Queens based artist to curate, produce and present their works in their galleries.
