“Black Mountain College: An Interdisciplinary Approach” Exhibition

As a contextual complement to the 2014 Next Wave Festival presentation of Black Mountain Songs this fall, BAM Visual Art presents an exhibition on the history of Black Mountain College. The exhibition’s spotlight work is a large-scale textile wall-hanging by Anni Albers, displayed in the Peter Jay Sharp Building lobby, generously on loan from the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation. The textile is accompanied by a dozen historical photographs by Hazel Larsen Archer and other works by Black Mountain alumni, including Ray Johnson and Joe Fiore, on loan from the Black Mountain Museum + Arts Center.
