Born in the sleepy west of the woody east, in a valley full of pioneers. Eli draws, teaches, does photo retouching and photo-illustration, and he designs. Eli has been drawing since he was able to pick up a crayon and he works equally comfortably with traditional and digital media. Eli received his BFA in Painting from Ohio University (97) and his MFA in Art Studio from University of California, Santa Barbara. In 2013 he illustrated a 90-page graphic novel adaptation “Romeo & Juliet” as well as an 85-page adaptation of “Julius Caesar”. In addition to his illustration and artwork, his teaching and his freelance work, he enjoys cooking and playing ultimate frisbee. He lives in Brooklyn with his amazing wife and two ridiculously cute sons, Zack and Leo.
