Although the Permanent Collection’s holdings in photography are modest, they span a wide range of history from the Mexican master Manuel Alvarez Bravo to the current work of Duane Michaels. The Collection is also strong in photo journalism and portraiture, boasting three Pulitzer Prize winners. This lively show will give members the chance to further explore and enjoy the hidden treasures of the NAC.
