“Electricity: Powering New York’s Rails” Exhibition
New York Transit Museum
This event has ended.
The Transit Museum’s first science exhibit explains the mystery behind the third rail, AC/DC current and how motors work. Hands-on interactives and vintage objects from a century ago tell the story of the power behind a mass transit system that keeps New Yorkers on the go 24/7. Guaranteed to simplify this complicated tale for kids and their grownups, every visitor will walk away with a new understanding of how using mass transit makes New York one of the world’s most sustainable cities.
This exhibition is supported by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services.
