This event has ended.

Contemporary artist Lily Cox-Richard channels the so-called “Father of American Sculpture,” Hiram Powers (1805-1873), through her own compellingly beautiful and ghostly plasters. Cox-Richard’s work displays an unmistakable reverence for her predecessor but also pointedly critiques the social and moral stereotyping that informed Powers’ most popular sculptures. This fresh dialogue with the past seeks a new language through which we create and interpret sculpture in the 21st century.”
