Kunsthalle Projects presetns Weird Science which brings together seven artists who investigate science and technology. They draw from scientific theories and practices, appropriate or misuse scientific principals towards artistic means, or invent their own rational systems and scientific frameworks. Featuring work by Blake Carrington, Heather Dewey-Hagborg, Thomas Dexter, Kysa Johnson, Hannah Mishin, Jeff Thompson, and Leah Wolff, these artists work across a variety of mediums including ceramic, installation, projection, sculpture and sound, and incorporate things as diverse as genetic material, The Whole Earth Catalog, custom built-software and invented code to create experiments that blend and push the boundaries of art and science.
May 17th at 8pm: Kunsthalle Projects presetns a screening by Blake Carrington and a performance by Jeff Thompson.
