The National Arts Club pays tribute to Carolyn Chesney with an intimate exhibition celebrating her life and works as a visual artist. Well known for her career in the publishing world, Chesney was also an accomplished artist in a variety of media.

Propelled by her unique and personal vision of the world, Carolyn emerged as an intense and compelling portraitist. A particularly strong face was a magnet for Carolyn’s creative energy. Her landscapes in watercolor demonstrate a more delicate hand and reveal a genuine delight in the natural world. Carolyn further challenged herself creatively through experimentation in printmaking, sculpture and papermaking.

A prize winner on several occasions (including the prestigious Grumbacher Award), Carolyn rarely missed the Annual EAM Exhibition. Her entries always surprised and added another dimension to her personality and mystery.
