Grady Alexis Gallery
This event has ended.
Seeger Fest The Grady Alexis Gallery at El Taller Latino Americano partner with Seeger Fest to present “Seeger Fest: The Life of Pete & Toshi in Film and Photos” an exhibition of film and photographs by and of Pete and Toshi Seeger.
The Life of Pete & Toshi in Film and Photos captures the rarely seen sides of Pete and Toshi Seeger from the protests to enlistment to traveling the world. The selection of photos is curated by their grandson and festival organizer, Kitama Seeger-Jackson who hand selected the never before seen photographs that span the work and lifetime of the Seegers. While Pete was knowing for writing songs such as “Turn! Turn! Turn!” and co-writing “If I had a Hammer” and “Where Have All the Flowers Cone?”, few people know that he and his wife made films about music nationally and internationally in the 50s and 60s.
