This event has ended.

We capture the world through images, and cameras are our implements. Photography presents the work of William Eggleston, Nan Goldin, Ryan McGinley, Martin Parr, Terry Richardson, and Stephen Shore, six of the most important image-makers working today. For the exhibition, curated by Ken Miller for Gallery Target, Tokyo, each photographer created images using Fujifilm X-Series cameras. Though the tools were the same, the resulting photographs represent unique and personal expressions.

The exhibition consists of approximately 25 new prints that are reflective of each photographer’s distinctive aesthetic, from William Eggleston’s iconic Americana; Stephen Shore’s intensive snapshot documentation; Nan Goldin’s poetic self-reflection; Martin Parr’s whimsical observations of contemporary living; Terry Richardson’s stark, blunt simplicity; and Ryan McGinley’s images of youth and beauty.

Ken Miller has presented exhibitions and talks in New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Milan, Mexico City, Tokyo, and Beijing for commercial and fine art clients such as Uniqlo, MINI, and Phillips de Pury. He recently co-edited the Opening Ceremony fashion monograph and is the author of SHOOT, a photography compilation, and Revisionaries: A Decade of Art in Tokion.
