This event has ended.

Following the unveiling event of the unique portrait of Elle MacPherson at the Australian High Commission,
Flowers Gallery exhibits Nicola Green’s latest series of prints, The Body.
The life size oil painting influenced the creation of four prints where the artist has used the same silhouette
with the cloth removed, juxtaposing the naked and clothed body.
These works are one-off Pochoir prints; a stencilling technique which presaged silkscreen, employed by
Soviet Revolutionary artists in large-scale works with crisp lines, geometric shapes in vibrant colours. The
Pochoir prints complement the original painting and represent Nicola’s further exploration into the human
form.
The artist created a further group of prints depicting Elle’s silhouette, four smaller two-colour silkscreens,
each in an edition of ten copies.
Portraits by Nicola Green have been exhibited at National Portrait Gallery, London; Dulwich Picture Gallery,
London; Harvard University and are in permanent collections, including The Metropolitan Museum, NYC;
The Library of Congress, Courtauld Institute, London and The International Slavery Museum, Liverpool.
