This event has ended.

Galerie Protégé presents No More Rock Stars a multidisciplinary, group exhibition of work by artists Mia Berg, Nick Doyle, Laura Greig, Justine Hill, Henry G. Sanchez, and Bryan McGovern Wilson, studio assistants to some of New York City’s highly celebrated artists.

Guest curator Robert Dimin has selected work by these stand-out emerging artists working with video, robotics, painting, photography, and sculpture. Dimin has stated, “No More Rock Stars highlights those who have dedicated a portion of their creative energy and aspirations to fulfill the artistic ventures of their more well-known and institutionally celebrated mentors.” He conceived No More Rock Stars while working as an intern for Creative Time. An artist in his own right, he recognized a need to bring awareness to the many talented artists working behind the scenes.

Exhibiting artists:
Mia Berg assistant to Spencer Tunick
Nick Doyle assistant to Tom Sachs
Laura Greig former assistant to Trevor Paglen
Justine Hill former assistant to Mickalene Thomas
Henry G. Sanchez assistant to Frank Gillette, Steve Miller, and Suzanne Anker
Bryan McGovern Wilson assistant to Mark Dion.
