Dacia Gallery presents "Searching the Soul," a solo exhibition of works by contemporary realist artist, Leona Shanks. Her passion for art is summarized as follows: “I paint because I need to. I study because if I stop learning, I stop growing. I teach to pass the torch and share the information that I believe in.” Her art is seductive, inspirational, meditative, and spiritual. Leona is the wife of artist Nelson Shanks and mother of two children. She is an artist as well as co-founder, teaching fellow and board member of Studio Incamminati. She has a studio in Philadelphia and her work has recently been in the following exhibitions: World of Art Showcase, Wynn, Las Vegas; The 18th Annual Art Show, Los Angeles, CA; S.R. Brennen Galleries, Palm Desert, CA; and The National Arts Club, NYC.
