“Contemporary Masters in the Permanent Collection” Exhibition

The beautifully presented and preserved works of art by National Arts Club Life Artist Members that decorate the public rooms of the Club represent only a fraction of the Permanent Collection. A recent reorganization of the Collection has revealed a modest yet strong and unique nucleus of modernist works dating from the 1950’s to the present within the Club’s holdings. Curated by Fine Arts Registrar Robert Yahner, NAC MODERN will feature works by Mark Tobey , Esteban Vicente, Christo , Marisol and others in their NAC debut. The Fine Arts Department hopes that this exhibition and gallery talk will create an interest in expanding the Club’s modern holdings and a contemporary reinstatement of the Club’s Life Artist Membership Program.
