The photographer says, "I use a toy camera to create in-camera multiple exposure images that are made in hope of a cohesive image, while knowing that their complexity makes for unfavorable odds. From the time a thought occurs about where to point the camera to the moment it becomes visible dozens of decisions await verification. A blending of chance and choice made with the intention of being surprised. The gap between expectations and reality, between knowing and not knowing, theplan versus random events is a constant throughout life. At timeslife seems like the fulfillment of a plan, when in reality events shape us in ways we seldom can know in advance."
