This event has ended.

Kie is a freelance artist and illustrator in Japan.
Her concepts are “letter”and “people”.
Her draws simple lines and paints in watercolors. When she makes her art pieces, she takes care of comfortableness and lightness.

She loved drawing pictures from an early age but she didn’t have a vision of future. She went to University naturally and studied art education. She has been thinking about educational possibility and the function of art. During the days, she realized she loved people and children so much and her motif of art changed into human.

In 2009, she went to England to study English, and she joined a summer school at Saint central Martins. In England, she drew a lot of portraits because she felt she couldn’t tell her mind, especially gratitude, in English. Around the time, she felt her drawings are like letters.

After graduating university, she works for a photo studio as a photographer and she makes illustrations. She often joins events as a portrait artist because she likes drawing people with communication and their smile.
