This event has ended.

Elisabeth Condon combines improvisational pours of paint, sketchbook drawings and digital projections in idiosyncratic compositions that heed the Tang Dynasty dictum of landscape as a fusion of observation and memory. Her paintings interweave external and internal perceptions of particular locations, treating space like a scroll that is sectioned, then layered. The recipient of a Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant, Condon has been awarded artist residencies at Yaddo, Fountainhead, the Grand Canyon Artist-in-Residence Program and Red Gate International Artist Residency, Beijing. Recent exhibition venues include the National Museum of Art, Beijing, Weatherspoon Art Museum, Greensboro, NC, Ft. Lauderdale Museum, FL, the Housatonic Museum of Art, Bridgeport, CT and a survey exhibition at the Albany Museum of Art, Albany, GA, for which a catalogue was published. Her work is held in public collections including the US Embassy, Beijing and is represented by Emerson Dorsch, Miami and Lesley Heller Workspace, New York.
