This event has ended.

LYNCH THAM presents Blink, featuring the works of eleven internationally acclaimed artists: Martin Creed, Holger Ecksein, Margaret Evangeline, Roland Flexner, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Nancy Hwang, Yves Klein, Alexandra Posen, Clifford Ross, Andy Warhol, wowe.

Blink is a follow-up to the critically acclaimed exhibition, The Pleasure of Slowness, curated by Florence Lynch. The works from Slowness brought our attention to creative time, its inclusion and effect on process, completion, and viewing – Long, deliberate time, remaining forever a part of the process and a part of the work. Blink reverses that process and takes into account works that are created in nanoseconds. During that climactic, split-second moment before the cowboy hits the ground; or the ink bubble falls on the paper, creating the unchangeable image; or when the soldier pulls the trigger and hits their target; or when the photo booth button is depressed – A moment is captured, and an instant artwork is created, in an infinitesimal space of time. Blink is an exhibition about works made in the blink of an eye, and experienced with equal speed.
