Daniel Gordon “Shadows and Pears”
The Horticultural Society of New York
This event has ended.
“Shadows and Pears,” an exhibition of recent photographs by Brooklyn-based artist Daniel Gordon. Using an analog process to give form to the digital world, Gordon photographs elaborate three-dimensional tableaux that he constructs using images collected from the Internet. This exhibition primarily focuses on the still life, a classical genre that Gordon reimagines by mixing a modernist approach to collage and color with the post-modern appropriation of the pixelated images that define our current visual culture.
