This event has ended.

Mulherin + Pollard presents a group exhibition featuring new work by Kottie Paloma, Yann Leto, and Jimmy Trotter. These three artists share a deeply ingrained instinctual tendency and need to subvert whatever may come their way, setting fire to the mundane and the false, to accepted and acceptable tastes, and to stilted and stratified notions of what makes up plain good sense.

They present vivid visual cut-ups of the absurd pop cultural consciousness, a place littered with the hysterics and buffoonery of political talking heads, gangsters, pranksters, and sideshow strippers all simultaneously shouting out and plying their wares in the TV-din and car crash of modern day existence and the cartoon of our everyday life. Their imagery functions like a kind of all-points bulletin stuffed with all the punnery and stunnery that is fit (and unfit) to print.

Kottie Paloma is an American artist currently residing in Berlin in Germany. He was born in 1974.

Yann Leto is a French artist who was born in Bordeaux in 1979 and has been living and working in Spain since 2006.

Jimmy Trotter was born in Miami, FL, is a refugee of the Kansas City Art Institute, and currently lives and works in the Kansas City area.
