Artist of three top sales picture-book and famous comedian hosting multiple TV shows in Japan, AKIHIRO NISHINO will present his first international solo art exhibition at ONE ART SPACE in Manhattan.

Gratifying many through multiple exhibitions in Japan, Nishino's next wish is to bring his works to the world. Targeting New York, in order to raise money, Nishino called for help at Japan’s largest crowdfunding website "CAMPFIRE" (http://campfire.jp/). Presenting his art postcards or even new creation for return, over 400 people have backed up his challenge for total of more than $40,000 in just one week. Campfire chief curator Ms. Koh Degawa tells “His challenge collected the most response in both numbers of comments and amount/speed of collecting money,” unofficially making Nishino’s challenge the most social influential patronage through an internet platform in Japan.

AKIHIRO NISHINO, 33, born in Hyogo prefecture Japan, started his career as a duo-comedian “King-Kong” with Yuta Kajiwara in 1999. After receiving multiple comedian awards have starred and hosted many hit variety shows becoming one of the top comedians of Yoshimoto Kogyo, a 100-year-old entertainment empire and talent management powerhouse in Japan. Also showing skill as an artist, from 2007 has published three picture books, “Dr. Ink’s Starry Sky Cinema”, “Zip & Candy -Christmas for Robots-” and “The Music Box Planet” (pictured). He has made his next mission, “I want to bring my art works to New York and wise them up.”
