"Five Eves and the Big Apple" Exhibition

As a tribute and seeking to commemorate the International Women’s Day, the Salomon Arts Gallery of New York City, is hosting the works of five Spanish female artists: Enriqueta Hueso, Pilar Palomares, Nicole Herzog-Verrey, Marta Martínez and Inés Ramseyer.
The exhibit brings together five perseverant women of the arts, with very personal points of view that are neither stagnated nor are they isolated from each other. They present five different proposals that nurture and complement one another, and confront us to a Royal flush of feelings, each equally daring, but each mastering different domains. Their creative impulses might meet circumstantially on such terrains, as is the case of the hilariously brilliant and committed work “Spanish Revolution...The Silent War” whose authorship is shared by Enriqueta Hueso and Pilar Palomares.
Within this donnesco group, each individual has her view set on a different stronghold; however, all the plastic discourses which can be appreciated here, seem to be connected by a similar commitment and amity towards others and towards that which contains us, entwining us, as we search for a more “breathable” atmosphere.
Finally, all is drawn together in a deeply womanly and universal discourse with five different sides, which undoubtedly will not leave the viewer indifferent.
Through these works, the observer will perceive the interweaving of a series of proposals, some more ludicrous and expressionist (Hueso-Palomares), others not least ludicrous but of a more introspective and essentialist nature (Herzog-Martínez-Ramseyer), which will render the overall impression of a highly encouraging compendium of talent, femininity and irreverence. An ensemble both centripetal and centrifugal, that gives us the occasion of enjoying the whole, through the individual proposals of each of these ultra cosmopolitan women, who from this most international and multi-cultural venue give us a shrewd, ludicrous and indomitable wink.
