MLMH NYC 2013

Margaret Lee (b. 1980 New York) currently has an installation on view at MoMA PS1 (through 27 January) in the exhibition New Pictures of Common Objects. She has exhibited works and organized exhibitions at numerous venues, including White Columns, New York; X-Initiative, New York; Performa; Jack Hanley Gallery, New York; and The Green Gallery, Milwaukee. She founded the artist run space 179 Canal in 2009 and is currently a partner in the gallery 47 Canal. Lee was recently selected by Beatrix Ruf and Peter Eleey as the recipient of the 2012 Artadia NADA prize.

Matthew Higgs (b.1964 Wakefield, England) has exhibited internationally since 1992. Recent solo exhibitions include The Apartment, Athens, Greece; Glenn Horowitz Bookseller, East Hampton, NY; Galerie Senn, Vienna (with Gedi Sibony); and Murray Guy, New York. Recent group exhibitions include The Feverish Library, Friedrich Petzel Gallery, New York; Funny, The Flag Art Foundation, New York; In A Room Anything Can Happen, CCS Hessel Museum of Art, Annandale-on-Hudson, NY; The Living and the Dead, Gavin Brown’s Enterprise, New York; and Two Years, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. Higgs is a widely published writer and a prolific curator, and since November, 2004 he has been the director and chief curator of White Columns, New York.
