MIMI FERZT GALLERY has represented the contemporary art of Russia, the former Soviet republics, and the Baltic States since its inception in 1993. The focus of the gallery is to present a definitive view into this field of world art history. From the unofficial, nonconformist movement to the emerging artists of this new century, our goal is to create a cultural dialogue to broaden the exchange of ideas through exhibitions, publications, symposiums, lectures, and charitable events.

Arkady Lvov, photographer and master platinum print maker, was born in Odessa, USSR in 1955.
The artist studied Art History at the Russian Academy Arts in Leningrad and worked as a photographer until he moved to the United States in 1980, where he earned a BFA from Parsons School of Design in 1988. He is a visiting professor of photography at Pratt Institute, NY.

Mr. Lvov established his own studio, Platinum Editions, in New York, specializing in the technique of the historical photographic process - platinum printing. Among his clients are many re-known photographers, including Annie Leibovitz, Elliot Erwitt, Mark Seliger and others. The studio produced a number of noticeable projects such as an edition of prints commemorating Billy Joel’s breakthrough album for SONY, prints for AHAE project exhibited in many museums around the world, including the Musée du Louvre in Paris and the Palais de Versailles, France.
