The artist made her New York debut with the gallery last year in the group exhibition Division 169 curated by Justin Adian and Wendy White and she has since been included in numerous group exhibitions, both internationally and locally. Most recently, her work was featured in Time Machine at Galerie Sho Contemporary Art, Tokyo; Petrella’s Imports at Suzanne Geiss Company, New York; Style Points and Substance Pangs at Tiger Stikes Asteroid, Philadelphia; and Deep Cuts curated by David Humphrey and Wendy White at Anna Kustera Gallery, New York.

Recent articles and interviews include the Introducing feature article “Attitude Problem: Painting a Singularly Whacked-out Universe,” in the Summer Issue of Modern Painters magazine; the six-page spread “Jamian Juliano-Villani,” in Issue No. 8 of The Editorial Magazine (also online); and “Comics and the Aesthetic Economy” on BadAtSports.com.

Jamian Juliano-Villani was born in Newark, New Jersey and received her BFA from Rutgers University in 2011 where she received the Giza Daniels-Endesha Award. She currently lives in works in Brooklyn, New York.
