This event has ended.

Dillon Gallery presents Per Fronth’s eighth exhibition with the gallery since 1998. In this series, “Mapping the Surface,” Fronth continues, in his own way, to discuss the moral aspects of living in the world’s richest country per capita - and belonging to the world’s third happiest people according to a recent UN survey. This is all fueled in part by pure luck, and Norway’s petrol and weapons industries.

Through art and storytelling, Fronth addresses the current Norwegian Dilemma: the moral and ethical weight of enormous wealth amassed by its petrol and weapons industries - and the effect that has had on everyday life - including the artist’s own. The exhibition is comprised of paintings, tapestries, soft sculpture, photography and mixed media works.

Per Fronth is an award winning artist and filmmaker represented in public and private collections and galleries worldwide, like Museum of Modern Art, Wakayama, Japan,Biblioteque Nationale, Paris, Sørlandet Kunstmuseum, NATO, Grand Hyatt New York, Sting and Trudie Styler, Juliette Binoche, Frm Vice President Al Gore. In addition to many public and private commissions, the artist has been awarded large -scale commissions for MGM Grand Las Vegas, Grand Hyatt New York, Boca Raton Resorts, Florida, Norwegian Intelligence Service, Norwegian Petroleum Authorithy, Rouge Tomate, Fifth Ave.

In 2009, Fronth became the first ever artist photographer to be named Nobel Artist - making the Nobel Peace Prize Diploma awarded to US President Barack H. Obama Fronth lives and works between the island Flekkeroy, Kristiansand and Oslo in Norway. He resides with his partner Ella and together they raise a daughter and two identical twins.
