Soho Photo Gallery announces that in January 2013, the entire gallery will be devoted to SOHOPHOTO 2013, the 16th annual members' juried show. It will feature the work of the 44 members shown above.
The juror for the 2013 competition is Susan May Tell, chairperson of the American Society of Media Photographers' Fine Arts Committee as well as an award-winning photographer. Her work has been showcased in solo exhibitions at the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale; Griffin Museum of Photography; University of California at San Francisco; and Avenue B Gallery. Solo exhibitions include A Requiem: Tribute to the Spiritual Space at Auschwitz; Structured Moments; and Real / Unreal: Urban Landscapes of the 1980's. Tell's photographs are in the Samuel Wagstaff Collection at the Smithsonian Museum and have been featured in group exhibitions at the Monmouth Museum, Hudson River Museum, Phoenix Art Museum, New York Public Library, Center for Fine Art Photography, and Barrett Art Center.
The work in SOHOPHOTO 2013 will provide a unique opportunity to experience virtually the entire range of classic and contemporary photography-from pinhole, mixed media and digital photography- to color, black and white, bleached and toned prints and those otherwise manipulated.
