“Winners of Soho Photo’s 18th Annual National Photography Competition” Exhibition

Soho Photo Gallery announces that its July exhibition will present the 39 winners of the Gallery’s 18th annual juried National Photography Competition. The show’s distinguished juror, Laura Paterson, VP and Specialist in the Photography Department at Christie’s, New York, selected these images to be in the 2013 exhibition.
In previous years, this competition has drawn entries from all over the United States and 2013 was even more national in scope. A total of 152 photographers from 35 states, from as far away as Alaska and Hawaii, submitted over 1,000 photographs for the juror’s consideration.
After making her selections, Paterson described this year’s submissions as “an impressive group of pictures” and said her decisions were “…actually rather difficult as I thought the standard was extremely high overall.”
The top three National Competition winners are:
1st Prize - Noah David Bau, Melrose, MA
2nd Prize – Enya Moran, Ypsilanti, MI
3rd Prize – Robert Moran, Bar Harbor, ME
The juror also awarded four Honorable Mentions.
