Artists possess the unique ability to create something tangible by properly articulating imagery in their heads and translating it onto a medium that can be viewed and critiqued by all. The process of this creation is highly personal and individualized, as a certain technique may work well for one artist and not work at all for another. However, some artists choose to go the extra mile and include painstaking detail into their work, constructing a tightly woven spectacle that challenges one’s patience, yet it epitomizes the very notion of fortitude. Their hard work and diligence brings forth an integrity that draws the viewer into their creation, causing one to lose focus on the world around them as they search deeper and deeper within the art work, as if trying to obtain the answers to the artists secret.

The Devil in the Details, a group show about detail work, featuring the intricate interpretations of Gigi Chen, Chris Rini & Katie Shima. These three artists each represent a different approach to detailing, highlighting a variety of techniques.
