This event has ended.
Sarah Powell’s work presents a new series of sculptures made from indigenous serpentine rock extracted from the hills of Staten Island. She worked with local geologist Daniel Remine of the Serpentine Art & Nature Commons in the Grymes Hill neighborhood of Staten Island to select the raw materials for her new body of work. She has exhibited at Calder Art Centre, Hanbury Street Gallery, London’s Woolfson & Tay and other venues. Powell received her BFA from Kingston University in London.
