This event has ended.

In celebration of 130 years, Ellen Bradshaw paints a personal song to the Brooklyn Bridge with oils and brush.

Whether a sweeping sunrise from the artist's balcony 25 flights up, or the awe inspiring walk across the span from day to night, Bradshaw's brush work and color explore the changing faces of the bridge.

“Through dusky blue mist of soft rain…. to sun dancing across cables… into cacophony of night lights…. and the hushful dusting of a soft snow…. to capture even a glimpse of some of the glory of this most wondrous work of art designed by John Roebling…. this is my homage to the Brooklyn Bridge.”

Bradshaw's work was influenced by the realism of the Ashcan painters, as well as the sense of color and atmosphere explored by the Impressionists. She has shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and is the recipient of several awards. Ellen is a member of Allied Artists of America and Pen and Brush. She is President of Pleiades Gallery since 2000.

An early riser, Ellen lives in Lower Manhattan with her husband Joe, and is witness to the every day splendor of sunrise over the Brooklyn Bridge.
