Patrick Todd "Object Relationships"
Soapbox Gallery
This event has ended.
There is no past, the present is never solid, and the future is in our way. Thus, Patrick Todd's art consist of creating paintings that are neither worldly, nor subjectively imagined.
Patrick Todd was born in Hawaii and grew up traveling. In his travels he has learned to relate to many cultures and to let the best of everything influence his daily life. Todd is a schooled artist who has spent the better part of his creative life unlearning what was learned. The artist's current interest is in realizing contemporary abstract images through a combination of traditional painting techniques from earlier epochs paired with the language of surface manipulation that is being widely used today.
Todd's work has been presented in numerous venues; from Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY to Experimental Intermedia in NYC. He has been commissioned to organize and present work for the Asian Contemporary Art Week organized by Asia Society and presented at Diapason Gallery for sound art.
