NYCoo Gallery features a one-person shows of works by Hana Asami.
Hana Asami was born in Tokyo. A graduate of Tama Art University, Tokyo, where she majored in Japanese-Style Painting. She worked in the Illustration Department of the Japan Design Center after graduating from Tama Art University. Since 2003, she has chosen to work independently to pursue her own career as an artist while taking on assignments from advertising firms and publisher. This is her second one-person show at the NYCoo Gallery since 2004.
Always on the lookout to paint things that exist casually in her daily life, she uses Japanese-style painting techniques to create her own painterly world with her soft refined lines and gentle subtle use of color. The viewer may feel nostalgic warmth reminiscent of feelings from childhood and natural landscapes.
