Galerie Protégé presents our first annual staff and family exhibition. Curated by Jaclyn Acker president of Chelsea frames and Founder/President of Galerie Protégé.
Since 1983, Chelsea Frames has specialized in framing for many leading New York art galleries, movie production companies, architects and top interior designers. Having distinguished itself with its unique approach to custom framing. This “neighborhood” framing shop was hailed by Art Business News as being “a leading force in encouraging and supporting the art movement to Chelsea.” Galerie Protégé exists as a platform for emerging artists to exhibit their work in the heart of Chelsea.
It’s Our Turn highlights the ethos of these two leading entities under the reigns of Acker. Her curatorial efforts begin in the hiring process, making sure that her team understands the creative process at its pinnacle. As a member of these institutions, the staff finishes and nurtures another’s work, whether it in the act of framing or curating an exhibition. The staff here at 197 9th avenue represents the highest level of professionalism in their work and in the art that they create.
