This event has ended.

“WYOMING” consists of 18 recent oil paintings by K.L. McKenna, many of which were painted over the past three years on site at the HF Bar Ranch near Sheridan, WY. McKenna’s inspiration is rooted in childhood experiences with her paleontologist father, whose expeditions with the Museum of Natural History exposed her to the great state of Wyoming, a territory that represents the concept of wide open spaces, dirt roads and the final frontier.
The artist’s landscape paintings of the American West exhibit her unusual sense of color and light. Influenced in part by the Post-Impressionists of the last century, she uses color and light to express the spirit of place in her paintings of Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, S. Dakota, Idaho and Arizona.
