This event has ended.

The moon is nearly 239,000 miles from Dallas. Singley’s idiosyncratic conjoining of the events in Dallas with the exploration of space is the subject matter of this provocative new body of work.

He employs an unusual technique of collage and oil paint on the 10 smaller canvases. Familiar images in the collages are painted into entirely new contexts, stirring up memories and visions, intermittingly searing and elusive. The reality of past and future is thrust into question.

George Singley’s work has been seen in a number of venues in New York, including Exit Art, the Ellen Sragow Gallery and M-13 Gallery. He has been a regular exhibitor at ART 101 since his one-man show in 2008.
