This event has ended.

New York City is known by many names but one stands out above the rest: The City That Never Sleeps. It is a thriving metropolis that is constantly in motion, creating a life of its own, charged with an energy that is both intoxicating and demanding. It has the ability to continuously inspire, yet in the same breath extinguish dreams. Totally unforgiving, the landscape is riddled with a variety of challenges to be negotiated in order to thoroughly achieve ones true ambitions. The mass of New York City is never to be taken for granted, as its construction alone is one of the greatest achievements in the history of man kind and provides an ideal location for creative individuals from throughout the world. We are very excited to present one of New York Cities finest artists in our next show, by Alexandra Pacula and her latest body of work in veloCity. She has successfully harnessed the power of the city through the detailed representations in her paintings, expressing a side to life that often times passes us by.

veloCity is Alexandra Pacula’s most recent body of Abstract Photo Realist art work, as she explores new techniques that convey an ever changing perspective. Capturing the city in all its regal elegance, Alexandra Pacula locks the viewer into a certain time and place, forging all the elements into a cohesive interpretation of the urban landscape. Her conceptually sound approach creates the perfect context in which she is able to play with a variety of effects and to bring forth her unique vision of the world around her.

Forever paying homage to the City That Never Sleeps, Alexandra Pacula embraces the versatility that only this city provides. Through veloCity, she is able to express her outlook through both the highly detailed oil paintings that she is known for as well as a new series of charcoal drawings. Her ability to recreate something so familiar yet so unique is testament to her immense talent as an artist.
