This event has ended.

Reading the Space is a major drawing survey of 88 of Australia’s most established artists responding to three propositions: Reading the Space: ‘Other’ Meanings (Irene Barberis); All Writing is Drawing (Michel Butor); and, The Space of Writing, What is That? (Serge Tisserone). Negotiating the often blurred edges and parameters of ‘drawing’, the exhibiting artists have generously investigated these themes, which have in turn produced a remarkable body of artworks from Australia.

Curated by Dr. Irene Barberis, Director, Global Centre for Drawing, Melbourne, Australia.
